~STUPID KID~

there are things that used to make me smile
one of them was you for just a little while
you left me for dead so far away
i replaced you with fear and shame
you'll be happy on the day i die
there are things that used to make me laugh
but now they're deeply buried in the past
i left them there so far away
replaced my humour with my pain
i'll be happy on the day it dies
there are things that used to make you cry
one of them was me for just a little while
why was it that you had to say
goodbye in your special way
you slashed the tires on my car
remember when i said, i love you
well, forget it i take it back
i was just a STUPID KID back then
i take back every word that i said

Botanx Victory - My Winning Eleven

I miss those days of 'Championship Managing' till wee hours of the day. I haven't had the chance to try out the latest installment of the famous Eidos product, but with not much free time (and no laptop-boo hoo) I'll just be content with watching the world's greatest game on TV and catching up with the latest news on the net while I'm at the office.
I've always imagined, if I was effin' rich like Mr. Florentino Perez (the man behind the riches of Real Madrid's Galacticos), I'd gather all my effin' money and buy the best effin' players in the world (C. Ronaldo would be a big nay on my list) to win every effin' trophy being contested. What did you say? It'd ruin the game's ethics and morals? Cut the crap. It's MY money and if my team wins everything, wouldn't we make football history? What if we don't? Well, it's just a silly dream anyway.
With this, I present to you my fabulous first eleven which (i think) will dazzle and conquer the world of football...
Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus, Italy)
'Gigi' may be growing older every day and Juventus may seem to have gone through some difficult patches recently, but we should never forget the pair of safe hands which let loose only TWO goals for champions Italy throughout the whole FIFA World Cup 2006 tournament.
Full Backs: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid, Spain) & Phillip Lahm (Bayern Munich, Germany)
Instrumental in both defence and attacks. Both are known for their speedy and tireless runs up and down the flanks, and although Lahm is a wee bit shorter than Ramos, they still get the job done. Despite being defenders, both have habits of bursting forward and scoring great goals too.
Center Halves: Charles Puyol (Barcelona, Spain) & Allesandro Nesta (AC Milan, Italy)
Both are critically acclaimed for their strong and timely tackles. Another reason why these two characters should be paired up is that what one lacks, the other provides. Puyol's average height is accomodated by Nesta's towering presence, and the latter's lack of stamina towards the end of the game is covered by Puyol's determination and never-say-die attitude.
Defensive Midfielder: Gennaro Gattuso (AC Milan, Italy)
There's always a sense of hostility in the air when you enter the half of the field where Gattuso stands. Just looking at his face sends shivers down your spine. He is the pit-bull of the team, providing extra cover for the back line, winning possession in his area and delivering inch-perfect passes up the field.
Attacking Midfielders: Diego Ribas (Juventus, Brazil) & Ricardo Kaka (Real Madrid, Brazil)
"The English created football, but the Brazilians taught them how to play it." With reference to this anonymous quote, I pick these two dazzling midfield maestros to co-ordinate the attacking orchestra. Diego is proving his worth at Juventus and was onced called 'God' by the Werder Bremen faithful, and Kaka-a sublime footballer with pure magic at his feet. Need I say more?
Forwards: Sergio 'Kun' Aguero (Athletico Madrid, Argentina) & Lionel Messi (Barcelona, Argentina)
Both are still at the 'tender' age of footballing years and are enjoying the best moments of their careers. Aguero is a huge asset to his club, with a release clause of almost 60 million euros and is a natural finisher, just like the 2009 Ballon D'Or winner Messi. Put them together up-front and you will have a hell of 90 minutes. Don't worry about extra-time. You won't even live to see it when these speedy little Argentine bastards are attacking your goal.
Striker: Fernando Torres (Liverpool, Spain)
Affectionally known as 'El Nino' by the fans and media, Torres, like a hurricane himself, beats all other contenders to fill in that lone striker position. He was also 'God' back at Athletico Madrid and was already given the captain's armband at the age of 21. What does that mean? El Nino doesn't only score goals-he also inspires.
p/s: But what about Liverpool you say? Well, you can't just hope for Torres to do everything, right? That's why we have eleven players in the team, dumb-ass.
